Nothing Like Competition

My wife annonced this morning that she wanted to compete at weight loss. Her weight's gone up to 129 from her usual 124. (I knew those little dishes of ice cream most nights would get her!) So, she has 5 lbs. to lose, I have 5.5 lbs. to my goal. If we both make goal, nobody pays; if one makes it and the other doesn't, it costs them a dollar (you know the penalty doesn't really matter to us, it's the merciless teasing that will really make the difference). We didn't determine what happens if we both don't make it, but I'll keep you posted.

just a thought here... if this is supposed to be a blog where other people can come and gain some sort of insight into the almighty scooter's way of weight-loss...ummm, perhaps...and i dont konw, i could be way off here, but maybe, just maybe you might think of steering clear of saying such things as "blown up to 129 lbs"... first off, blown up? really? REALLY? cuz...no. and second, i'm not sure, not quite, but uh, should you really be so concerned with the number? isn't it more about measurements? how clothes fit? etc etc...

5 pounds could be muscle. could be water. could be fat..who knows. but just, fyi, "blown up to 129 from her usual 124"... probably not the best choice of words there scooter

It was intended as hyperbole, but you made me aware that some people might be offended. Point noted...now, do I edit based on reader comments?

Second, and this was not stated in the post, she is a fitness trainer, so general level of exercise by both of us far exceeds the norm.
